I started coaching sessions with Christy at one of the highest anxiety points in my life. My stress levels were becoming unmanaged, and the tools I had always relied on were no longer enough. I am so thankful to have had Christy as a coach, it was really nice that she could understand both my work stresses as a nurse, and then just the normal stress outside of work. I have always tried to take care of myself physically but emotional wellness has always been a low priority for me. Being a mother of two young boys and a fulltime nurse I just felt there was no time left for me.

Christy showed me the tools to take control of my stress and anxieties and to prioritized time for self-care, and the it was okay to have me time. Like she would say, self-care is one way for me to refill my tank. I had never looked at it like that, but she is right. Christy has taught me how to set boundaries, and that it is okay to say no. She helped me set goals, and gave me the accountability I needed to achieve those goals while continuing to set new ones.

Through Christy’s coaching it has taught me to set boundaries, goals, take time for self care, and simply that it is okay to say no, I have been able to feel more in control of my life again. My anxiety is much better, and I now have the tools I need to help manage my stress when I need to. I am hugely thankful for Christy’s coaching, and would highly recommend her, which I often do.

"This Experience has been so helpful and life changing"

Before I started working with Christy, I had been working on trying to start a low FODMAP diet for over 6 months. Every time I would start, I would last about a week or two and then fall off. I had also been trying to quit drinking alcohol for quite sometime unsuccessfully. With the guidance of my naturopath, I switched to needing to start an anti inflammatory diet. I needed to quit coffee, alcohol, sugar, and a bunch of other things and I kept putting it off. Then I started working with Christy. She helped me develop achievable goals each week so it was more of a slow progression instead of all or none. She gave me great ideas for helping to wean coffee and stop drinking alcohol, the two things I struggled with the most. She kept me on track, and gave me positive reinforcement to keep me going. When I slipped, she made me feel ok about it and wasn’t judgmental. She helped me move on, not dwell that I made a mistake, and to get back on track for the next week. I have been doing the diet for 40 days now, my digestive symptoms are improving and I am starting to feel better. The coaching was a great experience, it helped so much. I have been trying to work on diet for digestive issues for years with either nothing working, or trying something and not being able to maintain it. I have gained new strategies to help keep me on track with not drinking, something that I hope I can continue for the rest of my life. I have learned to not be hard on myself if I have slip ups, it is only human, but to just move on and try again for the next week. This experience has been so helpful and life changing. I feel confident I can soon start to test foods to see what I can/can’t tolerate, a place I haven’t been able to achieve before. I would recommend the coaching to anyone who has lifestyle or dietary goals to achieve. It was great to have support and accountability.

I smile as I remember my conversations with Christy. She is a wonderful person and Nurse Coach. She helped me with my lack of motivation related to exercise and assisted me in my anxiety level and how to be more grateful in life and for all my blessings. One of the major things that Christy assisted me with was helping me to be accountable for my actions with regards to food and exercise. Christy assisted me in finding types of exercise that I enjoyed and will continue to do going forward. This has not only helped me with my weight issues, but health as well.
